I møte med veggen (Hitting the Wall) was a collective art exhibition held at SORGENFRI in Oslo, Norway, from 19–21 November 2021. The exhibition emerged from the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and the temporary partition walls that became a familiar part of public spaces. Originally introduced as practical measures for infection control, the walls became symbols of separation, distance and isolation. The exhibition explored the wall both as a physical object and as a metaphor, drawing on the Norwegian expression “å møte veggen” — literally “to meet the wall”
The group exhibition was curated by Hlín Studio (Julia Conley and Hannah Hansen) and brought together artists including Olivia Page, Hlín Studio, Nebil Zaman, Ragnhild Nes, Frida Hansen, Richard Øiestad, Ingrid Bredholdt and Henrik Ødegaard.
