Solo exhibition by Ragnhild Nes, presented by SARP Gallery and Palazzo Previtera. Developed during Nes’s residency in Sicily, the exhibition explored the relationship between landscape, light, colour, poetry and language, drawing particularly on her experience of Mount Etna and the Sicilian landscape.
The exhibition was accompanied by writing and publication material connected to SARP’s residency and research programme. Laura Jansen contributed The Language of Red: SARP Catalogue of the Paintings of Ragnhild Nes, published through the University of Bristol. SARP also lists the exhibition catalogue Ragnhild Nes: When words attack the invisible they are erased (2023).
