Søvnløs Himmel (“Sleepless Sky”) was an exhibition and residency at Trevarefabrikken in Lofoten, Norway, a former 1940s fish-oil factory turned creative and cultural hub. The exhibition featured an interactive installation created in collaboration with Julia Conley, alongside a series of paintings inspired by the dramatic and ever-changing landscape of Lofoten.
The paintings explore the intense atmosphere of the region, drawing particularly from the vast mountains, rugged coastline, shifting light, and the surreal experience of the midnight sun, when the sky remains illuminated throughout the night and the boundary between day and darkness seems to disappear.
