‘I møte med veggen’ collective art exhibition at Sorgenfri in Oslo, Norway.
”Å møte veggen” is a Norwegian expression commonly used when describing times of mental or emotional distress, directly translated; “to hit the wall”. If you have experienced a high amount of stress for an extended period of time, then you may feel like you’ve hit a wall. If you tell someone you have hit the wall in Norwegian, then they will likely understand you need a rest and possibly time away to recharge.
The exhibition is a reaction to the partition walls in public spaces during the pandemic and displays how the wall as a visual object can represent more than distance and infection control. It was arranged and curated by HLÍN studio.
The creatives and artists involved: Ingrid Bredholt, Henrik Ødegaard, Richard Øiestad, Ragnhild Nes, Nebil Zaman, Olivia Page, Frida Hansen and HLÍN studio.
